Hi! My name is Monroe and I am a 3-4 year old Silky Terrier. I was found as a stray in rural Virginia and wound up at the local humane society. Nobody ever came to look for me. :( That's not surprising since it was discovered that I have an old fracture in my pelvis and a dislocated hip. My surgery will be over $900 to repair this injury (at the rescue's expense) and then I will be good as new! Luckily I was saved and I am now looking for my forever family! I am a sweet boy that is very people oriented. I am crate trained but I will bark in a crate until I settle down a little. I walk pretty good on a leash and I am good with other dogs. I have been around a 4-year old child and I don't pay her much mind. There is a cat in my foster home and I really want to chase him but he is too lazy to run from me. I know how to come in and out of the dog door and seem to be pretty well housetrained. I would be a great dog for any active family or person.
